Calculation to Find KVA

hai frnds...

i have 1000kva delta-star transformer... primary volt is 6.6kv and primary full load current is 87.5 amps

secondary volt is 433volt and full load sec amps is 1334.4 amps....

p=1.732*v*i tis equation is for both delta as well as star... to measure kva....

my question is why ve are using 1.732 common for calculating both star and delta..????

The "phasor diagram" describing a 3-phase network is an equilateral triangle plus three line segments joining each vertex to the center. From geometry, the sides of the triangle are √3 x the lengths of the vertex-to-center segments. 1.732 is a rounded-off version of √3.

normally 3 phase power = 3*Vph*Iph

in star, Vline = 1.732 * Vph so 3*(VLine/i.732)*Iph

In delta, Iline= 1.732*Iph so 3*(ILine/1.732)*Vph

so both connection power = 1.732*VLine*ILine
