Why won't Polar Mohr support it?

Hi Daniel,

I find it unusual that no one at Polar Mohr would "support" you on this.

A couple questions for you;

Did you speak to more than one person at Polar Mohr?

Did you ask to speak to someone in their engineering department?

Did you ask if there were any resources outside of Polar Mohr for a schematic?

I have been in the same situation trying to find parts/manuals for older equipment. I have found that if I make myself somewhat of a pest (politely though) with the manufacturer I usually get results.

Here are a few links:

Google many hits on this one. Maybe you could contact one of the sellers listed here and ask them to e-mail you a copy of the schematic.

Good Luck!

GA: speaking to someone is far more effective than pinging-off an e-mail. Hurrah for the telephone!

Good Morning PW,

Yes, the telephone is a wonderful tool plus I enjoy occasionally being a pest

For reasons regarding safety issues, Polar does not support machinery that is more that 30 years old as a general rule. I have been working with Heidelberg for nearly 30 years as a customer and have worked on their equipment for as many years as well.

I can tell you for certain they will not have many parts if any for this cutter and will not support its operation at all.

Coulter and Peterson reconditions these machines and even has their own electronics upgrade package for them. Which is reasonably priced as well.

Yes, I am aware of the safety issue with antiquated machinery.

I have come up against this before but more times than not have been successful after talking to a few people within the given organization either with direct results or a referral to another entity that can assist.

Maybe C&P would be a viable option for Daniel.
