Need to Find Main PCB Assembly

I have seen similar problems before, in which a part number from a drawing does not match the number stamped on the part itself.

If you can find a Website for the manufacturer, that might help. Sometimes you can luck out by searching the part number directly in Google or Bing. Another way to go is if you have a nearby appliance parts outlet (may not be easy in rural locations).

Are you sure about the model number posted here? The LG website does not recognize that number as a valid number, and a search of a couple appliance forums comes up with Maytag Ranges with model numbers close to that. I might be helpful to know where you are located as well, it might be the model number is some region-specific number.

Yes, the model number is correct. I purchased this machine in Cancun, Mexico. I did find the model on the lg site - www.lg.com/mx/......... Thanks for checking on that.

I don't do Spanish, but from the looks of it, that's a fairly new machine, no chance it's still under warranty? Are you in the U.S. now? Mexico? Finding a "spare" control board for a product that new may be difficult, at this point, it's probably something you would need to get directly from LG.

I am currently in Mexico - luckily I get to live and work here. And I have customers arriving every week who would be more than happy to bring it here from the states for me. If I could find it It was purchased almost 2 years ago from Sam's Club and is not still under warranty, unless I am really wrong on that.

I am a bit confused as to which number to look at. As stated, there is a sticker on the plastic border of the PCB with one number. But when I look under the "gel" protective coating on the board, there is a different number etched on the actual green board. I did look on eBay and found a similar item - item # 310320321638 and it is close but not exactly the same.

Unfortunately, the transformer right outside of our house was hit with lightening and blew out the electric meter box, but damaged nothing in the house. When the electric company came to replace it, they did not give us enough time to turn everything off before they put the "burnt" meter back in to check it - and it blew the electricity in the house. I was worried about the mother boards in the computers and air conditioners. HA ! Stupid me. I did not even think about the washing machine until the next day, when it would not turn on. Got to put the washing machine now under the electronics category. Probably the fridge too.

I am at a loss as to where else to look....... so any and ALL suggestions are helpful. Thanks so much for your time. Roberta C

Thanks Tom - I also went to the website again and sent an E-mail to the LG service department. We will see when they answer...... Roberta

I think that is your best bet. If anyone has it, it had to come from them. If they get in touch with you, try to find out "their" part number for the board, it may be something completely different than the numbers on the board. Once you have the manufacturers' part number, hit Google again to see who else may have it, at a better price.

Hey all...sorry to get back on this old discussion...I'm having the EXACT same problem as Roberta, in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Mexico...finding this part seems to be like pulling teeth.

Not sure if Roberta is still around, but did you ever find a replacement?

Any ideas that anyone has would be much appreciated! :)

the number discrepancy derives from the fact that the raw unpopulated board most likely has a part number and a populated board has a different assembly number.
