Can anyone please tell me what is Y factor is Pro-e Sheet metal.

what is its significance?

I know the formula but I want to know the basics of it.

I searched on internet, but still need help.

Maybe the terminology varies from place to place. I once worked in a precision sheet-metal shop that used "K-factor" for bend calculations. Googling that term might help.
