HI Dear

as far as I got from your question" if we reversed a starting terminal into an ending one in the motor in question"... which will result in a change in the poles number of of that star-connected motor,this in turn will lead the motor to draw higher amperage than normal..which is undesirable ...............

Hope this helps.

Dear Ali , This will be correct. But i want know about the electrical displacement between the phases . Also the direction of phases ,resultant flux ,emf. If above information is known then we will get some clue.

Time to get your textbooks out or look on Google. This is not a homework site!

It's to be hoped you rise to the challenge then.

If you shut everybody's mouth, how will you get an answer? You are being too crude. If all the CR4 members decide not to answer your questions anymorte, what will you do. Plesae tender an apology immediately.

Ali18:

You have said :

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Could you kindly clear up this statement -- specially when the motor or generator has been stablished with their phases mechanically defined by placing the coils of each phase in the proper winding slots . !!!
And the connections are externally done!!
If it has been installed correctly, the overcurrent protection device will operate, thereby disconnecting it from all power sources.
You need to think a bit.
The best way is to draw the 3 phases waveforms as normally drawn, on one phase with different color draw an additional waveform 180 degrees offset, then just for good point of view draw STAR connection and the DELTA ( WYE) connection and draw the wave forms connected to each of both connection types, then draw one with different color and of course 180 degrees offset and see the voltage changes for the STAR and the DELTA.
See that You have 3 drawings one the sine waveforms normally drawn then the additional waveform with another color drawn on top of the one changed.
Go to the Star connection and add the voltages versus phase angle
Go to the DELTA connection and add the voltages versus phase angle.
Then do the voltage addition of both connections with correct wave form and compare.
Instead of telling you what is happening -- if you do this home work you can exactly see what is happening to the 3 phase -- one phase reversal problem
