Date Stamp with slc500

I would like to program a ab slc500 with real time clock in it to date stamp a limit switch being made by a door that open and closes, can some one let me know if i can do it.

Here is the AB SLC 500 instruction set (all 694 pages)! Happy hunting!

(Somewhere in there, there might be a GETDATE or GETTIME or like instruction that can be activated whenever the door switch opens or closes.)

I like the approach. Give them the link to the instruction set and tell them to do their job.

The one hole in the problem the OP posed that I see is unless the PLC drives a printer, that data of date or time will have to go somewhere for storage and analysis.
