Dunno. Does it have a neutral terminal?

what happened ?

Why did anything happen?

I should have thought that nothing should have. After all when I connect a transformer at my home I don't know the distribution transformer is star connected or delta connected well I do know but I don't bother.

Sounds like somebody didn't have the right transformer and got creative with what they did have...

Nothing happened, except you connected two transformers together (did you connect A-A,B-B,C-C or was it a-A,b-C,c-B or another?). You have not said you have energized anything - or where!

Nothing would happen as long as the delta receives line voltages from the star. In any LV electrical installation, the trafo. secondary is star connected and most of the LV motors are delta connected. We do connect these delta windings of motors to the star winding of the transformer. Did anything happen? This is also akin to that.

Draw it out - delta on one side of your drg and star on the other. Label the legs / joints L1,L2 L3. Now connect L1 to L1, L2 to L2 etc. If you had transformers with a ratio 2/1 you would drop the voltage from delta to star and then in the next transformer you would lift it back up again. The current flow due to impedance would be screwed up and generally it would be a very lossy way to transmit power.

You didn't mention vector group and voltage ratio.
