	How to choose the fuse rating for street light fitting of 400 and 250W? we are using 220V AC supply . Which type of fuse will fit for it?

	As the purpose of the fuse is to protect the wiring and no details of it have been given to the forum, the only solution is to carry out calculations in accordance with the protocols given in the local electrical code. In the UK it would be British Standard 7671. 	Watts divided by volts = amps The Non-Time Delay type of fuse must be able to carry 250% of the line operating amperes...The Dual Element type of fuse must be able to carry 125% of the line operating amperes...use the first fuse size larger... 400w divided by 220 volts = 1.8 amps x 2.5 = 4.5 min 5A fuse 250w divided by 220 volts = 1.1 amps x 2.5 = 2.8 min 3A fuse __________________ All living things seek to control their own destiny....this is the purpose of life
