AC Generators 3 Phase

hi gintle men,

i would like to ask you if there is way or meter to know the kva of an ac generaor 3 phase 380v output.

i mean its very old brushless generator 3 phase 380vac, and the name plate is not there and i dont know the brand or the manufactorer of this generator.

would you please advice me if you know any idea to know the kva or the kw of this generator?

Well you could compare it to similar sized generators, or you could mechanically connect a motor up to the generator and a variable electrical load and model its torque and speed curves at various electrical loads (or something similar).

A quick internet search of for brushless generators or motors may give you some 'ballpark' idea of its rating (and similar generator curves, etc to compare to), but won't tell you if the one you have is electrically safe.

Search on "kva meter"; they are common devices. If you find one you like at an acceptable price, buy it.
