AFBC Boiler

Dear sir,

what type of material used in bed coil, bank tube,super heater tube and drum in cvl afbc boiler. how to design boiler materials and thickness of tube and drum.

boiler details:

capacity:43 tph

max working pressure:15 kg/cm2

This topic involves too much variation and detail to be discussed easily in a forum.

That said, a key detail is the temperature expected in various parts of the system. "Plain Jane" steel weakens appreciably above ~650°F, but there are carbon steels such as SA-515 plate that may be used at higher temperatures. (I forget the counterpart pipe spec.) For very high temperatures, stainless steel or other alloys may be required.
