	come on! That's exactly what he's doing. Did you become a "guru" completely of your own tuition. Or did you seek tuition from supposed experts? Dont discourage the pursuit of knowledge. Each one of us stand upon the shoulders of the more learned to advance ourselves. 	As name indicates it is just a switch, it is installed with the automation control instruments/equipment. say, we have three pressure control valves in parallel each one of them equipped with MOR switch to bypass the logic/program for the particular valve to take that valve in maintenance or repair. This helps operator level attendant to bring equipment out of control logic without doing anything with the controllers.

	MOS is a such kind of switch, its can be hard wire or software in DCS operator console.In most of cases it use both ways(With software). Use for, in critical loops trip logic input devices such as transmitters to avoid the trip of plant or a unit if transmitters fail to read or for maintenance work.Here are some examples of switches 1- MOS Manual Over ride switch 2-OOS Operational Over ride switch 3-Auto MOS Known as NMOS Negative MOS it degrade the logic.
