Er, how can one design something if the methodology upon which the design is to be based is absent?

1- you do a research and find all what is needed to do the project 2- you make the project 3- you present the project on CR4 for corrections. NOBODY will do your work for you since we have alreday our degrees and we do NOT cheat. You have to earn your degree so do first your job and show that you deserve it, if you make errors we can help but NOT do your work.

Guys... I get the impression the OP is not looking for you to provide the answers but simply would like some advice on where to look for them. Read his last sentence again. Since you guys have your "degrees" and many years of experience, surely you must understand engineering is a broad discipline. One (especially a student) cannot be expected to know about everything or for that matter even know where to look to learn about a particular discipline.

Ajiupadhye, there are several types of bending machine designs out there. I suggest you Google "Plate Bending Machine Design" and use the image search. This will show you a huge variety of existing designs. Study the pictures in detail and you'll get a good idea of how they work and what specific design features are used in each type of machine. From there you can also contact some bending machine manufactuers and request maintenance manuals. These are a great source for learning how their machines work.
