People say between two opposed opinions the truth lies in the middle. Not at all! Between them lies the problem, what is unseeable, eternally active life, contemplated in repose. Goethe
Have you ever noticed that many extraordinary things are accomplished by young people who don't know that "it can't be done"? They haven't yet been indoctrinated by the self-defeating thinking and limiting beliefs that most people get as they get older.
Our goal should be to see and think what could be and not what can be. Henry Ford wanted an inline 6 or 8 cylinder engine (I don't remember which one it was exactly). His engineers said it "couldn't be done". He insisted that they figure out a way and after much thinking and figuring over a long period of time they came up with the basic engine we now have.
Some people are told "you can't do that" and they quit. Others are told "you can't do that" and it gives them energy to keep trying. There are always plenty of critics to go around. Don't listen to them! There are never statues erected to a critic. The recognition goes to those who swim against the tide. I heard it said one time that "criticism is the death-gargle of a non-achiever".
