Sensors for Tracking Humans

01/30/2012 11:43 PM

Apart from PIR,motion sensors can anyother sensors be used to track the location of (human being) patients??

Say we have miniaturized sensors to detect the blood pressure,ECG for patient monitoring applications. Likewise, Is there any other miniaturized sensors to track and measure the location of the patients.

PLease do reply as early as possible

Would you like to know:

Where the subject is in within inches?

Where the subject is in within feet?

Where the subject is in within yards?

Where the subject is in within miles?

RFID tags might be suitable for some cases.

The mobile telephone/cellphone performs that task admirably.

Long time ago I thought about this for hospitals... Easy, simple but would need someone to monitor 'all the patients.' BlueTooth makes it pretty much feasable. Here's the only clue you should need: Hospital ID badges
