How To Design a Branch Connection

02/03/2012 1:07 AM

Dear All,

Please let me take suggestions from you all for designing a branch connection. Now I am in the stage of preparing a branch selection table from ground zero level. Please provide me sufficient details for completing my task.

Best Regards,

Suman Padakandla.

Peel back the bark on both the host tree and the piece to be grafted. Position the graft so that the cambium layers of both graft and host are in contact. Use twine or whatever to hold things in place. Paint with grafting wax.

One must consider line speed and radius of curvature, the traffic frequency, train composition and the signalling alterations appropriate to the conditions of use of the line before installing any branch connection. There is a procedure to be followed under present railway regulations, which any current infrastructure development company would have available in its design procedures for study.

There's some interesting branch connections here:

Suresh,

Is this a branch connection table for piping systems ?

We are not mind readers here...

Are you new to the design of piping systems and this is your first assignment ?

Does your boss have any engineering background at all ?

Do you have any piping reference specifications where you work ?

Is there anyone with gray hair at your place of employment ?
