Plastic Thermosetting Shredder Machine

02/14/2012 6:08 AM

Hi Guys

I am working on the University Design of Plastic Thermosetting Shredding Machine and I wonder if I can get more Design Ideas on how to go about completing my Project.I have started meeting with RSA local Shredders and I am rejected because they assume that I want to take their business.please guys help and if possable sketches and drawings I will appriciate.

kind regards

Bright

  • Material of particle?
  • Material density?
  • Initial particle size?
  • Final particle size?
  • Particle consistency/strength/frangibility?
  • Particle flowrate?
  • Dust release prevention?
  • Zoned areas for explosion prevention under ATEX?
  • Available power supply?
  • Equipment maximum size? Maximum weight? Manoeuvrability?
  • Etc., etc.

about the material of particles I am looking to shredd the following types of plastic of different sizes and I am especting final particle size to be very small.

1 Plastics, it can be said that plastics are synthetic organic materials produced by polymerization. They are typically of high molecular mass, and may contain other substances besides polymers to improve performance and/or reduce costs. These polymers can be molded or extruded into desired shapes.

There are two main types of plastics: thermoplastics and thermosetting polymers.

Ø Thermoplastics can repeatedly soften and melt if enough heat is applied and hardened

on cooling, so that they can be made into new plastics products. Examples are

Polyethylene, polystyrene and polyvinyl chloride, among others.

Ø Thermosets or thermosettings can melt and take shape only once. They are not suitable

For repeated heat treatments; therefore after they have solidified, they stay solid.Examples are phenol formaldehyde and urea formaldehyde.

The title of the thread is "Plastic Thermosetting Shredder Machine".

Now you seem to be saying that you want to shred all types of polymers????????

We know the difference between thermoset and thermoplastic.

Just tell us what you REALLY want to do.

Did you look at the link provided in my first response?????

A production team receives different commodities of about 5 to 25-liters of plastics containers(all types) and other plastic packers. Then they use these product and the plastic containers become empty and taken to waste. Since most of these commodities are dangerous chemicals and make its very unsafe to use these containers for other purposes but taken to waste and company dumping facilities. Because of the large quantity of the commodities we use and therefore result in more plastic containers waste in our dumping zone which as the result its finishes the dumping facilities and consequently pollute our environment which is a crime and unacceptable to Government standards (NOSA) ISO 1400 standards

so I am looking for the working two shaft/miller designs that will be driven by one gear box and will be able to rotate in an opposite direction for shredding these plastics ,and also the estimated thermosetting plastic shredder machine dimensions is 3m*3m base and 2 m high.

How will you ever learn anything if someone else does the work for you?
