Magnetic Flywheel Turning

03/04/2012 9:05 PM

Why wouldn't the magnetic principle of repulsion & attraction turn a flywheel thus turning a generator to keep batteries powered?

Try as many variations as you like, and simply watch them fail to work.

Also, take a class in thermodynamics.

Some energy will be lost in friction in bearings and in moving air

You can't get something for nothing.

In your case these simplified versions of the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics apply.

First: You can't win.
Second: You can't break even.

You can if you're a con-artist!

Three: this is the only game in town.

Better idea is charge batteries of UPS by wind or solar power.

Thank you so much. This link has saved me much frustration. Now I'm thinking toward a wind driven generator as the electric car is moving. Do you have any thoughts on this?

Inefficient idea; it will just add drag that must be overcome by the car's propulsion system.

No, no, it's brilliant! Motor moves car forward, forward motion of car creates relative air movement across fan on top of car, fan on top of car generates electricity, electricity powers motor! Brilliant!

This is SOOOOOOO much different from the original idea of using electricity to drive a motor that drives a generator that makes it's own electricity. This new idea has WIND, and wind means GREEN!

So this is a Green Perptual Motion Machine, as opposed to a wasteful plain old PMM.

If you mount the wind powered generator in front of the car,the wind force which is retarding the car could be used to generate power to charge the EV's onboard battery.

I wrote this to UK patent office in 1980s.

...which is exactly how an induction motor works.
