Dear all,

If your analog megger is "insulation" resistance tester, you can not measure earthing resistance with your megger. Use an earthing resistace meter.

First of all ..........do you know what are the range of Earthing Resistance & insulation resistance of any electrical equipment?

Hmm, do you mean insulation resistance, or earth continuity?

If earth continuity, probes placed at either end, meter set to Ohms (probably 3 Ohms), press the button, read and record results.

If insulation resistance set meter to double operating voltage, hold both probes and press the test button. If that bites then you know the meter is working. Now put one probe on earth and the other on active, press test button. Read and record results.
