04/30/2012 11:27 PM

Which oil is used in CO2 heater? (this CO2 is used to replace hydrogen in H2 cooled generators)

I think virtually any fuel oil could be used, so long as the nozzle(s) and atomizing arrangements, if any, are matched to the oil type.

What does the original equipment manufacturer's user manual say?

Are you using the CO2 to purge the hydrogen during generator maintenance ?

I have designed many CO2 purge systems for hydrogen cooled generators, but have always used electric heaters. If your heater is oil fired, it will have a design fuel.

Like the others have said, RTFM.

That's a fine example of "repurposing" a commodity.

The next question is, "Does OP have a clue"? And we ain't talkin' Mayberry here.
