What voltage? What is the FLC? What does your local Code say? How long a cable?

Dear Tornado,

The voltage is single phase 230 Vac. The FLC as I have mentioned through KW is 2.3 A. The maximum length of the cable is 10 metres. I could not find the local codes but I think that international standards are ok and applicable anywhere.

Best Regards,

<...international standards are ok and applicable anywhere...>

There is no such thing as an international code, and therefore it is inapplicable. The North American electrical codes do not apply in Europe, and vice-versa, for example.

In the absence of a local electrical code one might apply the principles embraced by British Standard 7671.

Yes, 1.5 mm2 wiring should work for this motor.

The simple answer is yes.

1.5 sq.mm is okay

but 2.5 Sq.mm copper 50/.25 ( as per IS 694 std)

current carrying capacity up to 21A

Voltage Drop/A/m - 29millivolt
