Density of High Speed Diesel

06/28/2012 11:56 AM

Dear All,

Can any one please tell me the density of High Speed Diesel @ 45 C temperature. I was surfing on web & found that it varies between 820 kg/m3 to 860 kg/m3 @ 20 C temperature. But I need to know density at 45 C. Please help!

Diesel is also specified by numbers. If you know which one "high speed diesel" is, you may be able to find some temperature/density tables. Or if you have the volume coefficient of thermal expansion, you can calculate.

If we were to take 845kg/m3 as a median @20ºC, then 820kg/m3 would be a fair est. at 45ºC...imo

About 17 - 18 kg/m³ less than at 20 °C, best I can tell.

Estimate it on the basis that it might expand uniformly with temperature (which is not true):

Density at <...45 C...> ≈ Density <...@ 20 C...> x (273 + <...20...>)/(273 + <...45...>) will get close enough for many practical purposes.
