It is neither a definition nor a calculation; it is an empirical measurement.

Just checked on Google, and I think you mean Apple. Cross-check this with Newton.

The gravitational acceleration for the Moon is 1.63 m/s2. Why?

You need to understand the units that are attached to those numbers; meters/ seconds^2 (or meters / (seconds * seconds) ).

We use 1 G as a reference to the amount of gravitational acceleration just like we use 1 AU (Astronomical Unit) to describe the distance between the Earth and the Sun.

Lyn-Door industries sells a fine Gravitational meter. I have had mine for quite a few years now and have been pleased with the quality, and durability of it. At one time or another every member of my family has stepped on it. I purchased the model that reads up to 300. When my sister in law was with us, I thought that her gravitational reading might have damaged this low reading model, but it seem just fine. I highly recommend the device.

Ah, you have selected the DeLuxe Spiffarino model! Thank you for your purchase and the endorsement.

The standard Spiffy Gravity Indicator™ always indicates 9.8... it is a slow seller.

There is no gravity. The earth sucks!
