Is there restriction for out let flow path from vertical pump or not?

Do we need to have straight path for pump outlet like it is required for the suction to have enough straight path for inlet to avoid pump cavitation as the flow need to be smooth before enter the pump without flow direction change by elbow or other.? Do we have minimum requirement for the outlet portion (straight path requirement or can I use elbow immediately at the pump outlet?

A swept bend introduces less pressure drop than an elbow.

I've never heard of such a requirement, but it might be conceivable for some turbulence to have a "backward" effect. (It can affect flow meters, for instance, but I don't know of pumps being sensitive to it.)

What type of vertical pump is this ?

Is this a "multi staged" pump ? (multiple impellers?)

What does the O&M manual tell you about this ? (Operating and Maintenance manual)

Did you purchase a used pump with no documentation ?
