Speed of Light = Speed of Time

I am going to go way out of the box here, but how do we know that time is really going forward.?It is all a matter of perspective.If the universe eventually collapses, and all processes are reversed back to the point of a singularity,then cause and effect will be reversed, our thinking will be reversed, but we will not know it, for all will seem normal.The broken glass reassembling will be logical and normal.Just like playing a movie backwards.If the universe is an endless expansion/collapse cycle, then whichever phase you are in will seem normal.

Gotta go now,time for my pills.....

That idea is a scary thought. If we are going in reverse I am thinking I may never want to go to the bathroom again (or before or whatever it was).

Forward ? I may have just figured why my wife and I keep arguing !

I think that even if the universe will collapse back to the singularity, time will continue in the forward direction, I don't see processes reversing, simply the directions of matter in the universe. The expansion must come to a halt, slowly if Newton is correct, and then reverse. I see this as a case where all of the energy of expansion has been used up stretching the elastic and now the elastic starts to win.

I think the universe is "hardwared" by immutable actions and reactions.Every action results in an opposite and equal reaction,that is generally accepted.Conversely,I believe that every action must be preceded by an equal and opposite "pre action". This does not sit well with some,because they claim that there are truly random events.I do not agree with that premise.Radioactive decay was once deemed to be random, but now there is evidence that it is not.

So if nothing is random,then everything that happens is a result of a prior action and that in turn by a prior action, and infinitum.

So in effect, the universe is "hard geared" to every event.

When these events reverse, it is inescapable that all the events will operate in reverse.

Of course, I could be wrong....

This has been a fascinating discussion, but it's now getting a bit over my head. Some very good points raised by all parties.

......But the time on moving object-is not slowing !! only the time readings of moving object, on the "fixed object" - slowers....
