High Viscocity and Emulsion

10/10/2012 11:00 AM

Any good mixture of chemical to wash off all the lotion/shower gel/cream which stick on to the wall of normal tank (1atm).

I am currently using high pressure city water to disperse it and rinse off. any Good CIP and chemical recommended

Based on what you say, a detergent with a surfactant would help.

But since, your info is limited for me and I do not know what type of company your in. Check a reputable chemical distributor he would assist you.

As far as CIP, Ecolab has a been competant.......pricey, but thats what you pay.

I'd use a dilute solution of water and a non-ionic saponifier.

Can't say unless you're willing to post enough formulary details (or PM) to ascertain what's best. Example- if you are using viscosifier/rheology additives such as Carbopols, a mildly acidic & highly ionic solution at room temperatures or warmed is best. If it's CMC, cold water & a wetting agent. Fatty acid soaps, a hot alkaline (preferably KOH) mixture with chelating agents. High pressure always helps unless foaming is a problem.

I try something cheap and simple, of the 'opposite' pH - vinegar. I'd try a solution of white vinegar and water.

Well, i am Personal, home care plant, skincare manufacturing. What i am dealing is all the emulsion products with high viscocity. We produce lotion, shower cream/gel, shampoo, detegent, skincare product.

We have the SOP of cleaning all tanks. Currently, we dont have any automatic CIP system. Our SOP is to use hot water with agitation (80C) and high pressure water gun to wash all tanks. Our tanks are normal tank. no pressure, no vacuum.

As what we practice now, there is a room for improvement for productivity
