The compartment for the motor that is delta-only needs to be redesigned and rebuilt as a direct-on-line starter. This is not a job for the uninformed, so the best thing to do is to contact a specialised local panel-builder that can come to site, do the drawings and carry out the alterations. Yellow Pages?

DOL, auto transformer or soft start are the solutions for 3 lead motors. star delta starters are used with 6 lead motors. but i am not sure about your system voltage .

dear,

You will have to do few modifications in panel, so that motor can be run in direct on line. and if u want to reduce starting current then auto transformer or soft starter may be used.

You could remove the cover of the pump terminal box. If there are 6 terminals (connected in delta) you're in with a chance. Check out the cable needed for star/delta (probably 7 cores, including earth). If the existing cable gland will take the new cable, you're OK. Just possible there is a spare gland, blanked off. If so, it's easier, you can run a 2nd cable.

Obviously you need a star/delta starter, and wire it all up properly.
