Generator Electrical Problem

i have 200 kva generator ...that engine having the electrical problem ..that engine was started on mechanically .. but not starting via panel board ,,,, please suggest what cause i want to check ??????

One of the possibilities is that there was no power with which the panel could operate. There are others, and they cannot be seen from here.

check the terminal connections...and all electrical circuit referring its diagram.

Check the control panel, that seems like the most likely location of the problem (component failure, protective device operating, components need a clean, etc).

If it is cummins engine there is a solenoid operated valve in the pump. This opens up during starting. Operates on 24 volts supply from battery. If there is any fault like low lub oil pressure or high engine water temperature or over speed. The supply to the solenoid will be cut off and engine will not run You have to check the wiring and the sensors. May be sensors would have operated .
