With your abysmal level of knowledge, you have no business using a name like "Instrument365".

Well I can clearly see that English syntax and grammar is not your strong suit. I guess that is why you do not understand how to use a dictionary or search engine for what, at first, seems to be a ridiculously trivial question. To try and answer your question I must make a few assumptions due to the imprecision of your text.

What a fuse and contactor have in common in electrical engineering is that they both interrupt current flow. The difference is when they interrupt this current. A contactor does this under normal operating conditions and as such is expected to do this many times because the current magnitude will be understood. A fuse interrupts current under a fault condition and therefore the current interrupted will be unknown. Since a failure operating condition produces an unknown current condition, a fuse is designed to produce a controlled failure in itself. This prevents a more catastrophic failure in something else that may start a fire, explosion or a variety of other dangerous conditions.

Go easy with Instrument365. Remember an instrument is just a tool. A tool without the mind behind the tool is just a relic artifact for archaeologists to wonder about.

In some cases they are combined....

Fuse is written with Capital letter and detector not.

That means a Fuse is important and a detector is only used when the Fuse has blown!

Yes, there is a difference between "fuse" and "detector". Since "detector" is only a noun, the indefinite article "a" is always implied when it is missing. However, "fuse" can be a verb or a noun. So without the indefinite article "fuse" is a verb. Unless your capitalization means you are asking about Mr. Bill meeting Mr. Fuse.

Some Private Eye Detectors are rather shady characters and one should be careful when dealing with them.

...can be determined by entering these words into a search engine, or looking up the articles on these topics in an on-line encyclopaedia, such as Wikipedia, thereby shortening the time between asking the question and obtaining an answer.
