ARTEC AM12E Plus Flatbed Scanner Power Adaptor

hi everyone.

I have an Artec AM12E Plus scanner for which I don't have the power adaptor.

Can anyone tell me what kind of power adaptor I need, i.e Voltage and Current

Contact this guy, he has one for sale with the adapter, maybe he will tell you what adapter specs are.

If not, it's time to upgrade, this is an old scanner, parallel port, maybe time to go to USB.

DC adapter 6-9 volts.... I need the current draw from the electrical plate on the scanner....

Most of these devices have a voltage regulator and a fuse inside them. The fuse will give you the maximum current draw and the regulator number will give you the regulated voltage to the circuitry, allow 30-50% over that and you should be OK.

If it also incorporates a rectifier bridge then the power pack will likely be AC and you would allow for the voltage in to be a bit higher by a volt or so.
