That is a very general question. It can be answered with yes or no or maybe.

Maybe is most likley unless you let the general public know what you are really after.

Otherwise it is possible you will invite some replys that you havent been asked for.

As an example I would reply: "Read the help file!"

Do you have a particluar problem? Post it here with your thoughts and a proposition for the solution and I am sure people will jump up and help you.

To answer the immidiate question: no I can not help with Matlab!

Good luck!

Matlab is NOT a free software and giving it is against the law but there are soft packages developed which offer SAME functions as MATLAB and are for free: SCILAB which last version is 5.4 as far as I know.

It has also the simulation module similar to SIMULINK.

How wrong I was! It is about where to obtain the software rather than what and how to do with it?!

Next please!

Original post: "Can anyone help with matlab software?"

Your reply: "Matlab is NOT a free software and giving it is against the law"

(are we married?)

Given that the OP was not really original in hers/his question it could well have been the request to help to obtain the software rather than help with the software itself. Looks like Nick Names intention was to explore all the possible options of what the questions actually refers to!

Question back: Are you a woman?

Hehe just kidding. OP already run off so its just the bulk of us here!

Reply Back: Woman? Heavens no! No, I.S., I'm an online Turing Test.* Actually, what you're looking at is just the web interface part of me; the rest of me - my core routines, I mean - execute on a Cray Titan at ORNL in Oak Ridge, TN. (psst: don't tell anyone )

As for N.N.'s response, granted N.N. may have been exploring all options - not a bad thing in itself and to be encouraged as a general rule - but in this case those explorations could have been executed with a great deal more tact and finesse, IMHO. Far better, I think, to hold off on making aspersions (implied or otherwise), and wait and see if this is what the OP actually had in mind. At least ask first, if in doubt, yes? Inquiry is the heart and soul of exploration, after all...

I don't blame the OP for not coming back. I wouldn't come back either. Not after being greeted with that.

Thanks for your kind remarks, even so.

* Btw, given that your question assumes I have gender, I have evidently passed Mr. Turing's test with flying colors!

To the OP:

After Europium comment I deeply apologize for being rude and lack of tact telling you that since the soft is a proprietory soft it cannot be given: it has to bought and that I suggested, thinking that you ask for it since you do not have the money to buy it, a soft which has exactly same structure and offers as well a compatibility with Matlab but which free of any charge.

Next time I shall wear two pairs of gloves when dealing with so sensitive questions in order to avoid any bad feelings of Europium.

I hope you accept and please accept as well my best wishes for the success of the soft use for your project!

very faithfully

Nick Name
