If I understand what you are asking, that is always a specification we get from the end user. They will state the entire system must be under xxdB. So, it depends on what the end user wants to limit it to. Don't know of any mandated noise limits other than occupational exposure rules, such as OSHA's 85 dB/8hr, which do not actually limit the noise generated by the valve as long as the people in the vicinity have appropriate protection.

Hi,

There are no methods/Model available in IEC for the practical calculation/prediction of Noise in a Two phase control valve.

So the only thing you can do is to ask the vendor to confirm if the noise level generated is below 85dBA.

Vendor will confirm based on their experience of similar application. That is the reason why you will not find Noise level mentioned in the fisher Calculation sheet (or in FSM output) for two phase control valves.
