Weld plates. They are inserted as the columns and beams are poured, but this should already be in the prints.

You have not provided enough information to provide you with an adequate answer to your question.

Where are you located, and what are the applicable concrete design codes and construction codes for your location?

Are you talking about attaching concrete beams or steel beams to an existing or proposed concrete column?

All of my questions are VERY applicable...

This sounds like a homework question to me.

Have you tried an internet search as this is the equivalent of asking how electricity is transported.

Please tell me you are not the construction design engineer for a project.

Without looking, how can you tell a column from a beam.

Are columns delivered standing upright, and beams laid on the side?

Did the erector set you got have any instructions? Pictures, maybe?

From what materials are the columns and beams made?
