All mobile phones do this; one is never alone with a mobile phone.

Quite.

Presumably the OP has discussed concerns with a qualified medical professional privately and in the presence of the individual of concern <rhetorical question - NNTR>?

Just put the kids with the old people!

It will provide for some very memorable childhood memories some day!

Nothing like being 8 years old and getting lost at the mall with great grandpa when he was 88!

If my offspring (now grown and in their thirties but comment still applies) or aged parents are typical, anything that is carried or worn would be next to useless for tracking the child/old person, but it would be useful for finding the tracker again when said person has lost it or forgotten where they put it.

All persons at birth could have an RFID tag inserted under the skin. Build a global infrastructure to read the tags every time they walk through a door or pass a tree. That would work!!!!

Some day this will be a reality!!! I'm so glad I will be gone and wont have to go through the things that will to be going on during this time. The anti christ is closer than you think.Repent now and TURN TO THE LORD JESUS and you wont have to worry about a tracking device.

Trackers. Great for knowing where the tracker is. Less so for knowing what the person with the tracker is up to.

I've researched this a couple of times and the one I've come back to is the Loc8tor GPS. Partly because it's been reliable and partly because it has an 'emergency' button on it which if pressed sends texts / e-mails to such numbers / addresses as you wish with the location of the device. The control panel, which operates & reports on the device, comes in Silverlight and html flavours.

It came in very handy (for me, anyway) when my son was first starting to walk to school alone and is now coming into service as a device for my mum, who is occasionally confused about where she is. She knows to press the button and I'll come to her.

Regrettably, the last time she pressed the button was when she was in the front room and wanted some tea. Still, in principle....
