Why the electrical designer not giving (type 1 or type 2) surge protective device in the electrical panels?

Two Questions.

1) is it the main board from the mains?

2) Did you Specify it in your scope?

If an SPD is not mandatory in your local standard or regulation, it may not be included unless it is specifically requested in your scope.

In general SPDs are located in the incoming Main board from your supplier or on your generator board. Not usually included in sub boards unless specifically requested in your scope.
