A little tidbit that happened to me.

I was on vacation in Texas, about 2 weeks ago. And my email (yahoo) was hi-jacked.

I soon received from yahoo that my account was trying to be accessed from Romania. (Trying, they started spewing emails to my contacts)

Well I changed password and such. (As well as all my other passwords in other accounts)

The interesting thing is, in my LinkedIN account. I saw who that someone looked at my profile, and low and behold, it was from Romania, coincident? I would say not.

I reported it, and now have to wait and see what happens.

For some reason Yahoo accounts seem to be the most common ones to be hacked. I constantly get random emails from friends' Yahoo addresses with weird links that are obviously not legit. I seldom see the same from Gmail or other free email providers. You may want to switch.

I actually have accounts in both.

Original intent was to have one for private and one public usage.

I contacted linkedin and they're looking into it....

I also get similar mails on my yahoo a/c but I simply delete it. I never open links or attachments referred in such e-mails.
