Level Measurements

We want to replace float displacer as original float damaged and weight is 17kg in air RANGE IS

RANGE

1219MM

and new float weigh is 1.6 Kg . This is for oil and water process and as Safeguarding level switch On/ OFF and not analogue. The length of old is 120mm and new length of displacer is 122mm and range 1219mm. switch is Magnetrol and SS displacer

After replacing new displacer with 1.6 Kg and fluid SG 1.07 will make in change in tank level measurements ?

how to ensure the level is measured in tank as previous one. Please share you view

If the float is being changed like-for-like, then don't worry; chicken curry.

If the float is being changed for something else, then the instrument may need re-ranging, which is a job for an Instrument Technician at site.

Make sure the process is fully documented.

Is the instrument manufacturer on-board with all this or is it a home-brew-get-out-of jail-free sort of task?

the concern the float weigh is different from new one, and it it bough from Magntrol factory is not home made.

How to re-range inst tech dose not know?

Follow the manufacturer's recommendations, either by telephone or in the manual. The manufacturer knows more about this equipment than any number of CR4 readers, so make that telephone call.

You don't mention which Magnetrol level instrument you have, so I picked one model at random, opened the manual

and found this very clear and understandable statement:

Why don't you try looking up the procedure in the manual for your model?
