This Video (Audio) Generates Vomiting Feeling

What a weird request. Look at this video to nauseous.

No thank you. I prefer to feel like I'm retaining my lunch.

Since it is apparently the audio portion that triggers the feeling, I wonder what fidelity and volume level is required for the effect. I seriously doubt that my laptop or tablet speakers will produce the intended response.

No vomiting feeling.

Maybe if the guy had cut off both of his arms and bled out.

I have been around machines like that many times and it does not bother me one bit!

In fact I find the sound of a small engine and saw mill rather pleasant.

No odd feelings & I'd just finished dinner. Can't wait for that guys first visit from the health and safety team.

No nausea (headphones, LOUD). May've been different if I knew that the log was from an unsustained resource. Shame about the lichen.

Nothing out of the ordinary, I expected issues, from lack of safety such as eyewear. Growing up on a farm and worked around, machinery included in sawbuck, circular sawmill, (I never cared about these one man mills ) its hard enough work. And shingle mill.

But if this makes you queazy, google shingle mill, especially ones from a old time threshery expo. (Most old time sawmillers only have a few digits left on ther hand)

I will like to thank all of you for quick response. As most of the responses are negative, I believe you all are hard core engineers and are not scared of vibrations to the head and perhaps most of you are used to these vibrations and your brain has already found way out to face them. You are tough guys.

I am going to conduct this experiment on local population which has no hard core experience to see what their experience looks like.

A better question is why you think that sound would cause nausea? If that were true anyone who used a single cylinder gas engine would get that feeling. Unless of course there was some subliminal sound track buried underneath the original sound recording.

Many, many years ago, I worked as a lab tech in a university. One of my jobs was to set up demonstrations. For one physical science class, I would set up a large speaker array when they covered sound waves. I had an old-fashioned Klipsch corner speaker and a 100 W tube Macintosh amp. I don't remember what my instructions were, but I soon discovered that, if I cranked up the power to the point where the glass on those 6L6s glowed red, and then dropped the frequency down to the 5 to 10 Hz range, that I could induce a loss of bladder control in most and nausea in a few. The effects were very frequency selective and I had to tweak the signal generator ever so carefully before I'd see several students grab their tummies and run for the head. I don't think the World Court, the Hague Convention, Greenpeace or even the RSPCA allow you to do that anymore.

I think the Russians had a sound device that would loosen bowels. That would have been maybe the late 50s.

Yes, it has something to do with food, vibrational and perhaps some more associated information to trigger allergic response directly from brain in some people. I experienced it when I played the sound track after dinner. I also played in the morning with tea but there was no serious effect. There can be conscious control over feeling as well. First response was unexpected and very natural and then now I am aware of it so I also make my brain to remain careful. You may be able to teach your brain, to not to worry about something but sometimes it may take repeated teachings and sometime just once may work.

I am a vegetarian and I couln't see people eating non vegetarian food and it usually triggered nausia. But nut over longer experience I don't care and I may have all freinds around me eating anything they like to eat. I am still a vegetariaan. I think all people react to some food or the other just by looking at it or by smelling it. I have been to USA, Latin America, West Indies, UK, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia etc. and food has been a problem for me so I eat lots of fruits.

REcating to dust and dirt is also a problem as I always work in clean environment for the last 40 years. When I see lots of flying dust, it makes me feel as if it is directly aimed at my nose and eyes. I have seen many people working in very dusty and totally unacceptable environment.

I want to let all know that I am more sensitive at nose and can easily smell if food was cooked just 1 hour ago or few hours ago. I always eat fresh food. Normally cows and dogs don't eat food they consider having strange smell. I think those have lived in different environment will also have different ways to react.

Reaction of nausia is extreme in some people. Some people see blood and then they have this and some for very strange reasons. Basically someone has to hate something from inside. Most of the responses were showing no hate and that is the reason they have no negative body reaction.
