UAV's Used To Spy.....

06/20/2013 12:24 PM

With the recent news of orbiting UAV's spying on citizens, we could see a new industry evolving; small guided missiles to shoot down UAV's.

Yeah, that's just what we need: people concocting DIY heat-seeking missiles and shooting them into skies full of airliners.

I have a feeling that the expense of such a scheme would prohibit all but the most successful criminals from inventorying very many of them.

The criminal elements with the most to lose already have them.

From a terror perspective, there is already a target rich arena in the sky with manned aircraft.

Fortunately, the technology and skill to design, build, and execute such a device is very challenging.

They are small, and can fly high enough, to be undetectable without sophisticated surveillance ....The missiles alone are about $2 mil each....

Have at it. I am sure the US military would be very interested in such a device (if they don't already have one).

I recommend you to be the first to shoot down a law enforcement UAV. It's your idea, you defininitely should try it first.

</sarcasm>

Do you shoot at "unmanned" police cars when they are parked in your neigborhood with the dash cam left running?
