Isn't this post heading towards a self-fulfilling prophesy?

Attendance at courses is less important in getting a job than being able to sell onesself at interview.

Consider also the motives of the individual peddling the story. If a colleague, consider the possibility of the intent of demotivating the original poster to the extent that jobs are not applied for, increasing that individual's particular chances of applying successfully for a limited number of positions. It's a "so long, sucker" negotiation.

These things do happen.

Someone who is more confident will come over better at interview than someone who lacks confidence and determination, howsoever that demotivation has ben received.

Marking responses off-topic on the basis of dislike gives further weight to the possibility that this undercurrent exists. It's a form of denial, leading to a self-fulfilling prophesy. The originator is untrustworthy.

The prosecution rests. <unsubscribes>

I've never heard of a computer science engineering degree. There is computer engineering, that includes computer science along with computer hardware engineering, and this is a bachelor of science. But computer science, is a bachelor of arts degree, and has fallen to where my company will not hire without proven experience in a specific domain skill.

India education system has a different title?

If you are gifted with mechanical aptitude, and can quickly learn or develop understanding how a technology works, and you can contribute to make it better, you will have no problem getting and keeping a job.

It all depends upon your calling, not what your parents want, but what you know you have the thinking brain to do.

That's not true. There are many career opportunities out there. For that, you should specialize in any domain. For example, after CSE I did a bachelor in cybersecurity course and now I am working as a cybersecurity expert. So in my opinion, you should try any addon courses
