Which US State Drinks the Most Beer?

07/04/2013 1:15 PM

We haven't had a good beer discussion lately and it is a holiday here in the states. So when I happened on this gem, I had to post it:

Who drinks the most beer?

Obviously, tcmtech is holding his own in South Dakota!

I've got to get drinking, Maryland is slipping...

At 43 gallons per person in NH they top the list according to my sources. tcmtech doesn't drink.

Arizona would be much higher on the list, but the Indians won't admit that they drink.

Neither will the Mormons, but we all know they do. Why else would a man want more that one wife. Oh, they don't admit that either.

In the first few months after coming here from Turkey that's what I felt like with her Turkish cooking.

Fortunately we both adapted.

"Obviously, tcmtech is holding his own in South Dakota!"

I live in North Dakota and yes I drink very little. Maybe a 12 pack in a year on average.

I have about the same pensum but I intend to drink it in the first half of my life and I intend to live very very very long!

I am very old already!

Seems like you are all behind Aus.

I noticed the top ten countries, Lithuania is the only one increasing consumption and Australia is the only one that didn't reduce in the survey year.

I can also suggest that while beer consumption may have stagnated, spirits have been on the increase.

Thanks to Governor (wanna be Prez) Owe'Malley, raising the tax on alcoholic beverages in Maryland from 6% to 9% has killed my thirst. I stopped buying alcoholic beverages since then (in this state anyways). That goes along with the other 40 tax and fee increases since he has ruled over the subjects in this state.

Rant over.

Can't you order it from a different state through internet?
