Part of the answer given on your link is totally incorrect in stating that as temperature of the intake goes up, so does turbine efficiency, this is absolutely incorrect. For a gas turbine (1) increases in mass flow are needed to obtain more efficiency/more power at constant fuel input. Thus if water vapor is increased at the intake, there is more mass flow of the gas being compressed, and a slight change in the heat capacity of the gas being compressed, that may in fact allow slightly higher compressor output pressure (a good thing). (2) Temperature will always have a limiting effect on compressor performance, hence most gas turbine intakes are chilled air, either by VCC or by evaporative cooling. None of the internal temperatures in a gas turbine are anywhere near a "dewpoint", so disregard any comments made that suggest anything of the sort.

Well if you compress something and some of what you compress is going to be waste what you think would happen to you efficiency.

Dear Mr.awaiscnpp,

1.Nett Efficiency will come down.

2.Heat is carrried away by the Burnt Gas leaving the turbine as CONDENSATION LOSS.

3. Due to DEW Point Problem, last stage Blades may get damaged, apart from corrossion in the last stage blades. As a result, Higher Exit Temperature of Gas is to be accepted.
