This is arc welding terminology: DC reverse polarity vs. DC straight polarity. Please consult a welding textbook for their respective characteristics.

Please regard this as help:

What is the difference between DCRP and DCEP, where DCRP stands for D.....C......R....P....... and DCEP stands for D....C.....E....P. ?

I am working /am interested / am studying .......(quote engineering field in detail) and I came across these terms in this and this document with no explanation.

My understanding so far is . . . . . . !

Please fill in the missing items to receive an appropriate answer to your question.

The better the question - the better the answer!

My advice: Learn how to ask a question if you are interested in the answer!

No. You seem to be making the assumption that the OP knows the meaning of the groups of initials.

I think they do not.

DCRP & DCEP are same.

DCRP - Direct Current Reverse Polarity.

DCEP -Direct Current Electrode Positive

Whenever the Electrode is clamped in 'positive' terminal, it is called 'reverse polarity'.

In addition to above, the other modes are as follows

Direct Current Electrode Negative (Direct Current Straight Polarity)

---------------------------------------------------------------

Alternating Current Mode
