Small ID Tubing

11/14/2013 2:09 AM

I am looking for non-standard rigid polymer tubing, 1mm OD x 0.5mm ID and 1.xx OD x 1.2mm ID. Preferrably straight seeing as they need to be assembly concentrically. Saw some distributers on the web but they are UK based, am looking for a North American supplier.

Thanks,

Philippe Dekleva

Try

Professional Plastics: www.proplas.com

Zeus: www.zeusinc.com

Amazon Supply: www.amazonsupply.com

Cole-Parmer: www.coleparmer.com

Teleflex OEM: www.teleflexmedicaloem.com

Can you tell us what material you want to use? May help point to a particular supplier. "Polymer" is pretty broad.

Thanks for the links. by polymer I mean rigid, much like PEEK, PMMA, etc. PEEk only comes in 2 OD's which will not work seeing as I need to fit one inside the other with a resulting small annulus between them. I have made similar designs using SS but I cannot use SS for this application

I should add that the dimsensions I am needing are .020" ID or metric equivalent, for the inner tube and the area of the annulus roughly the equivalent of a .020" diameter. So it is small tubing/capillary and glass will not work. Also, the tube lengths needed are short, in the neighborhood 1/2" (12-15mm)

When I needed some small bore tubing for a laminar flow element, I used heatshrink tubing, as that gives the small bore, thin walls as well as straight semi-rigid tubes.

Easily available most places. John
