Compressor Efficiencies

01/02/2014 10:10 PM

Hi Everyone

Can someone give me typical values (or from some manufacturer) of isentropic and volumetric efficiencies of these types of compressors:

-reciprocating

-scroll

-screw

Mr. Google can:

Isentropic and Volumetric Efficiencies for Compressors with ...
Try to do some research before coming here.

Thanks for the answer,

What I really wanted to know is if the manufacturers of compressors (i.e Copeland, Danfoss, and so on...) publish their compressor's efficiences, not a method of calculation. I couldn't find that. I'm going to look more of it.

"What I really wanted to know"

That isn't what you asked, was it?

Why don't you ask what you really wanted to know?

Look lots more! Read this first: How to Search the Internet - Hannon Library

This may be difficult, because these values vary with compression ratio. I.e., you need to find curves rather than just numbers. There is also a discontinuity between one-stage and two-stage systems.

That's one way of looking at it; another is that Windoze is propped up by Applez. So sell it to both sides, and get twice as rich.

It looks as though you replied to the wrong person, to say nothing of the wrong thread altogether.

Let's ban AP's.

That's the way I look at it!

Just as they make replies to OT posts inherit the OT, maybe they should make replies to AP's inherit the AP.
