I can! Thats second grade stuff and should reveal itself once you think about what you are actually trying to do!

I give you an example: kilogram per kilogram!

There is plenty more where this came from!

How many miles you drive vrs how many gallons you use or (Km/liters). Or just buy a newer car. My 2005 malibu gives the milage in a dig display. When i reset and drive behind an 18 wheeler at 60 mph i am getting > 40 mpg. When in town i am getting around 24 mpg, open road 60 mph,not behind anybody, i am getting around 34 mpg.

Yep. The volumes of fuel purchased divided by the intervals between purchases is the rate of consumption.

Intermediate consumption rates are best determined using a dipstick.

Is this for a car internal combustion engine or a satellite?

Can you provide more information, and have you tried an internet search first for "fuel consumption equation"?
