Switched High Voltage Current Source and Sink

03/20/2014 5:28 AM

Hello,

I just thought of making these - Switched high voltage current source and sink using MOSFETs and bipolar transistors. Initially, +/-200V to +/-300V source or sink supply and 1mA to 20mA programmable regulated switching current is planned.

Current if injected into a capacitor then linear charging discharging can be observed. 1uF 400V Polypropylene is considered for charge storage.

I am inviting suggestions of possible designs both in bipolar and MOSFETs.

Suggest you post or have this moved to electrical engineering.

yes, thanks. I did not notice that it got wrongly posted here in civil engineering. I did select for electronics zone. Perhaps something went wrong in editing. I have asked admin to change the location.

I can address that topic. How about a bit more detailed specs and goals, etc. Speed, accuracy, etc., and please make this be reposted in either the Comm + Electronics or the Elec Eng. forums.
