Related to Airplane

With the earth in continuous rotation, how are the airplanes land accurately at destination point? Wont the destination point keep changing with earth rotation?

How can you find your own driveway, then?

Yes, but the airplane doesn't know that.

I heard off a plane that did not make its destination plenty of times. Maybe all the others are just lucky?

The other thing is that since the Earth rotates you just have to wait at the point and your target comes right back to you!

I am sure we have not developed planes with antigravity drive so why the question?

If the earth keeps rotating, how come you don't get the weather of different regions at your place.

I think atmosphere also rotates with the earth, don't u think.

Your movement, any movement, is relative to the Earth's surface because you are traveling at the same speed....

Pilots have a higher density of iron in their cranium, thus enhancing the trigeminal nerve pulses for magnetoception.

That's why only certain people can be pilots. If it were as simple as navigational mumbo-jumbo, then anyone could do it.

And all this time, I thought they were following the migration paths of birds.

If that were the case, we couldn't travel east to west or vise versa. Birds migrate north to south and south to north. Does it also mean that in the spring you can only fly from the south to the north and in the fall north to south? No wonder Eastern Airlines went broke!

Good Luck, Old Salt
