Indian ISI Mark For Industrial Motor Controllers - Starters

04/14/2014 10:14 AM

Greetings:

I am seeking information on the ISI mark as it pertains to direct on line motor starters and variable frequncy drive motor starters. I would also appreciate advice on the application process and the specific standards that the product would be tested to.

Please understand that I appreciate any specific information that someone might have, and I also appreciate the desire to be helpful, bu please only respond if you know about this specific topic. I have already visited the website; I am looking for a comment from someone who has worked with the BIS. Thanks very much.

Thank you very much but, not helpful at all. This is why I wrote "Please understand that I appreciate any specific information that someone might have, and I also appreciate the desire to be helpful, bu please only respond if you know about this specific topic. I have already visited the website; I am looking for a comment from someone who has worked with the BIS. Thanks very much."

I never really understood why people feel compelled to respond when they have no real information. Maybe you can help me understand that so I can change the wording in my question to avoid responses like yours. What should I say so that you would not have responded? Look at the next response in the thread, and you will see what I was looking for; someone who knows the answer. But I appreciate your wanting to help, thanks.

'I never really understood why people feel compelled to respond when they have no real information"

Maybe for the same reason people feel compelled to come here and ask others to do their work/research for them?

The sites I suggested that you go to would have yielded useful information as well, they just would have taken a little more effort on your part.

Good luck.

Yes, I come here to have others do my research for me, like you. I think your telling me to ask others for the answer to the question you did not know the answer to will probably get me a raise. Please dont tell my boss that you are the one that finally cracked the problem with your detailed and intensely thought out "go ask someone" answer.

For the sake of brevity, I did not include all the research I spent the day doing. But perhaps you are right, people shouldn't come here for help in their research. How many questions have you tried to answer again? Whats your percentage of good answers compared to attempted? That should tell you something right there; I saw it immediately.

You see? This is why I wrote it the way I did; I dont want to get into a tit for tat back and forth with a person that thinks they have the answer to all questions, and then gets upset when someone points out that they have nothing to contribute. I bet you are really smart and something else. This isnt it.

Thanks very much. This is what I was looking for. By any chance so you know if the Variable speed drives require the ISI mark? That might be IEC 61800-5-1, or something similar.

Thanks very much. Very helpful.

Go to your Inbox on CR4 and you will see it. I did send a message to you with their office address, phone number and email. Here posting phone numbers and email is not allowed.

Download from here some useful information. You will find some related to your area. In 2013 ETD 7 code was rearranged and has been assigned a new number. I don't think in 2014 there is any change in it.
