Limited CR4 editor functionality in Opera browser.

06/15/2007 10:29 AM

Hi Everyone,

I just got Opera and I'm noticing that the editor doesn't have the formatting capabilities (smiley's, bold, ital, etc.). In fact, it won't even show a line break in the completed message. Is there a way to get the same CR4 editor functionality in the Opera browser as in IE? I really like using the smileys!

Mike

P.S. This message was written in IE!!!!

We don't support editing in Opera because the last version we tested with failed horribly. It may have improved some lately (it sounds like you got farther that I did) but apparently it hasn't made it far enough. Firefox works really well, as does IE (as you know). Sorry... the getting the editor to work well in IE and Firefox was pretty tricky and the low usage of Opera didn't make it worth it to us to work through all of the issues. At some point I expect it will work just because the Opera folks will try to get compatible with FF.

Thanks
- Mark

Hi Mark, Thanks for the reply. I guess I will try Firefox! Mike
