So, I've got this hand drawn map of some property I own and I want to overlay it onto a topo map for more precise location. It is part of the family farm, handed down since the turn of the century.
There are land marks on the topo map that are well known; hills, buildings, streams, lakes and other things.
I don't have the physical, surveyors description as in, the northwest half of the southwest half of section thus and such, township/range, etc. because my siblings and I are not territorial and have no intentions of ever selling the land and it has never been surveyed for sub-division.
But I'm looking for some way to locate the property lines on the topo map.
Google Earth can get me close enough for horseshoes. Any other ideas?
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
